Some students at FWPA will be working at Wild Waves this summer as lifeguards, and some are taking long trips around the world, others will spend their time indulging in sports; these are just a few of the plans that people have this summer. Summer is a long break from school, and sometimes it is difficult to find something to do. A good option is taking inspiration from other students.
A popular option for summer is visiting Wild Waves. Not only will many FWPA students work there, but it’s also an option for easing the heat in their waterpark or just releasing some adrenaline on their roller coasters. “I am going to be swimming, going to Wild Waves whenever I can,” explained Jordan Mwangi. “I will be working at Wild Waves this summer. I did well on the training so I think I will do well,” said Ammar Hassan. Wild Waves is very popular this summer, since this is their last year open due to financial problems. Because of this, many students are planning to visit them one last time before it’s too late.
Other students are participating in sports or other physical activities this summer. “I plan to play soccer a lot, and I think other people should play it too because it is the best sport in the world, and good for people’s health,” reported Ishan Anoop. Soccer is by far one of the most popular sports at FWPA, and students can spend this summer getting better and showing their skills next school year.
Traveling also is a very popular activity due to the amount of extra time people have, with many students preferring to spend their time on the beach, visiting their relatives, and even visiting famous sites. “This summer I plan to go to Europe to see my grandma,” commented David Lachi, adding on, “I will also be going camping with my family.” With the whole world to explore, there is limitless potential in how to spend your summer break. Some people are even visiting places like Canada and some not knowing what they will do and just visiting for the sake of being there, such as Tiago Villalba, who pointed out, “I don’t know what I will be doing in Canada, but other people should go just because it’s Canada.”
With so many other activities that people plan, such as church camp, summer courses, and just playing games, summer is full of time for people to enjoy a stress-free environment without worrying about tests and homework. Summer is a time to spend your young years enjoying life and feeling alive, so it is advised to spend this summer participating in fun events. “I think people should go on vacation, especially if they enjoy going on vacation and like the place they are going to,” suggested Lillian Fenimore.
