Are you guys ready for the 10th grade fashion show? If you’re wondering what the 10th grade fashion show is, it’s a yearly tradition where the 10th graders get into teams of four, two of which dress up and other two design, dress up as any character, using butcher paper from the cart, go down the runway in the commons, which the other two teammates announce their outfit, making all grade levels in the crowd judge their outfits. To determine the winner, 2nd, and 3rd place, they determine how loud the different grade levels cheer and the most cheered outfit will win.
Are you wondering about how the 10th grade fashion show came to be? A student named Ryan Fang, an 8th grader at the time, was a student at FWPA and it was spirit week. “It was a dress formal day, and he came to school and he didn’t have any formal wear, so what he did was he kinda raided the butcher paper cart, and he made like a suit jacket, and a tie, and a top hat, and he made a suit out of paper,” explained Mr. Genzlinger, who was a student at the time, “and Mr. Linn who was the 9th and 10th grade humanities and U.S history teacher at the time, saw it, thought it was amazing, loved it and decided to put it as a kind of student project, that was kind of a fun thing to collaborating into something that’s kind of unique and special to FWPA.”. “That has not changed, that’s always been the way it’s been,” explained Mr. Klumpenhower, who was a teacher at the time.
