An eighth grader named Heinrich Schulz quotes, “I like that it has fictional things that can’t actually happen. This movie has good suspense, good transition, and a good character that can solve every problem and is ready to fight. It makes this unique because the main setting is the museum, so it’s one of the first where the setting doesn’t change.”

As Victor navigates the Land of the Dead with Emily, he must find a way back to the living world to reunite with his true love, Victoria. A tenth grader, Suri Kern, said, “Something that stuck out to me about the movie wasn’t really the plot, but more of the graphics. I always thought that the movie looked kind of weird. But I feel like the way it was drawn or animated really went with the creepy feeling of the movie. I liked the movie because I thought the brides were pretty, and I really liked the plot. I also felt bad for the corpse bride, but happy for her in the end. I would definitely recommend this movie to someone who is unsure about their love life or the path they are walking on. I feel like this movie really addressed how quickly things can change, but you can still end up being happy.”
