Arshdeep (Arsh) Sandhu, a 10th grader at FWPA, shares his most embarrassing moment. He recalls a day in the grocery store when he accidentally knocked over a lava lamp, spilling it everywhere.
Arsh said, “It was the summer of third grade and I was going grocery shopping with my mom. I was a little boy and I was very curious. I saw a lava lamp and I’ve always wanted to have one so bad because I wanted to see what was inside. So, I ran up to the lava lamp, and somebody, I don’t know who, had unscrewed the top from the base. When I tried to touch the top, it just fell off bruh, and it was EVERYWHERE!! There was glass and wax or whatever liquid was inside. It was so embarrassing. This old lady who was working there started cleaning it up and I felt so bad because I was just watching her clean and they didn’t make us pay for it. My mom was somewhere in the store, but when she found out, let’s just say she was really mad at me. I learned my lesson that day, to not touch every cool thing I see.”
His story serves as a reminder that our curiosity may not always lead to the best thing. He laughs about it now, but he’ll always remember that day as a third grader.
