Aaron Bulanov holds the flag of the school he's going to next year. He’s doing Running Start, which is a program where eleventh and twelfth graders go to a community college. Highline is the most popular option for FWPA students.
10th graders are leaving every year but we never know what their plans are for the future. Some might do Running Start, some might go to regular high schools, but we never know. Take a look to see how these 10th graders plan their life after FWPA.
When sharing their plans for next year, some students answered Running Start at Highline, like Aaron Bulanov stated, “I’m probably gonna be a business major,” explained Aaron, “Specifically entrepreneurship.” Race Beebe decided he wanted to do Running Start at Green River Community College. “I’m gonna do a pilot program,“ he shared, then added on, “Precalc, English 101, and Chemistry.”
Sometimes when choosing classes like these, studying can be hard and learning too. Ella Kiforishin and Esther Senyuk explained how FWPA would benefit their future. “I think Mr. Filler’s class will benefit me, he taught me how to learn,” exclaimed Esther. “He taught me how to study, he helped me the most, out of all the teachers,” Ella mentioned.
When leaving a school in the last year, it can be hard to forget such memories with friends. Esther will miss ELA class. “Me and Jessica, we had fun times,” Ella said, “Field Day was pretty fun, and we won the fashion show.” Her team won first place with the costumes of Masha and the Bear. “I like how it’s the last year, I don’t have to go another year,” Race exclaimed.
In summary, these 10th graders have different plans for their future after FWPA. Some will continue their learning through running start like Green River Community College or Highline. They also have teachers here who have prepared them for future classes. These students are ready for the next step, if it’s future studies or good moments with friends. Overall, they are looking forward to what’s next after FWPA.
