Study Time: Many students at FWPA notice classes they are going to take next year are different. Have you ever thought about the work you’re going to need to put into a class you are taking next year, and thought, this is going to be much more difficult? Robel Wondimagegn, a ninth grader, did. “Last year it wasn’t hard to get a 4.0 GPA, but as a ninth grader I actually have to try and spend time studying to pass my tests.”

Essey Mehreteab plays chess against his opponent. In the second half of the school year, Chess Club changed in format to hold a tournament. It takes place over the course of many games until the final winner is determined. “I’m not really going anymore because I lost in the tournament. But before I was going because my friends went,” said Essey.

Justin Vasylevych worked on a project in Seattle, on May 23rd. Justin and his dad built cabinets in a newly built house. “It was a rough project but me and my dad got it done,” Justin explained.

Aidan Garcila was given the Hogwarts legacy, emphasizing his enjoyment of the series. The Hogwarts legacy was passed down to Aidan while he was in the 7th grade by Dexter Lee, continuing to circulate the old legacy. “It's given to people who have a really deep love for the books and series,” explains Aidan.

Movie Reviews
FWPA students responded to a survey about their favorite games. Most of those who do play games play them on either computers or mobile devices. As for students’ favorite games, all answers with two or more votes were represented. The 30 plus other answers with only one submission were represented in the “other” category.

Too Fast, Too Fun. Lanah Ong flashes a bright smile, posing in front of the Sonic The Hedgehog 3 cardboard cutout with her sisters.
